Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

There is just something about the mixture of chocolate and peanut butter.  They are a match made in heaven, of that I am sure.

Brownies are a guaranteed hit in our house, so as I start my journey of trying one new thing a week in our household I knew I should start with something that would be a win.  These chewy peanut butter brownies were just the thing to soften my husband up to the idea.  Because let me tell you he was less than thrilled when I made the announcement that this would be taking place in our house.  Trying to convince a beef and potato man that he should be eating more Baked Chicken with Prunes rather than this fall off the fork tender swiss steak.

It took some convincing buy by starting with delicious, moist and chewy peanut butter brownies I have my husband on board.  He is willing to try one new recipe a week as long as I keep the good ones like decadent hot chocolate, 3 ingredient cherry dump cake, and homemade chocolate chip pancakes.

Ingredients For Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup margarine, softened
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions For Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C ). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.

2.  In a medium bowl, cream together peanut butter and margarine. Gradually blend in the brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix until fluffy.

3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the peanut butter mixture until well blended.

4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in preheated oven, or until the top springs back when touched. Cool, and cut into 16 squares.

What is your favorite flavor of brownie?
