Oh what should I be doing?

I should be doing dishes,  reviewing items, the hated laundry is piling up.  You know what I am doing on this wonderful Friday night.  Staring at the tv and enjoying the silence.  Our little Corbin is two months old this week and he is just not our favorite baby.

It’s been a drastic change as with our first he slept through the night early on, never cried and could amuse himself from the start.  Sometimes I hate to say but I would forget I had a child, I could do anything I wanted and he would go with the flow.  Corbin though…has to be held at all times and that doesn’t even help always.  My cousin asked me the other day “Is that all he does?”  She was referring to his crying.  It has been a trying time for us around here and now that my husband is in to harvest I am running on empty.  Corbin and I are getting between two and four hours a sleep a night and naptime doesn’t always happen in this house so it means mommy doesn’t get a nap either.

While it’s been a tough two months in our house we do love Corbin and he is starting to smile and talk some now.  That is worth everything we have endured for the last two months and I’m sure will continue to endure…it doesn’t look like an end is in sight for awhile.  But I do love the smiles that I get from both my boys everyday and it makes living worth while.

The boys and I are headed off to the potato festival tomorrow.  Sunday brings my husbands 31 birthday.  He loves McDonalds and I have him thinking I have scheduled hisbirthday there.  He is not thrilled!  I love it! Should be a good time had by all.  What are you doing this fabulous weekend?

Bless your heart…but you don't know how many Momma's I've heard say the very same thing about their second child…maybe that's how God gets women to have another baby…let the first one be good as gold…cause if the second one had been first, there wouldn't have been any more!! 🙂 Our GRAND-sons were the same way! Hope you get some rest this weekend…In His Love…Deb

I have a couple of reviews that I will be doing this weekend myself. I can empathize with you about the new baby! We had our first baby last year in Nov. so he is 10 months now. He has been the perfect baby! Like you said, he has slept all night since he was six weeks. He had a brief period of about a month where he would wake up at 1-3 a.m. crying for a bottle. I think he had some teething pain then because he has stopped that now. He amuses himself, we don't have to rock him to sleep, he plays by himself too. I mean sometimes we get down to play with him and he will play with us a little while but then he goes to play by himself. We have been so lucky! I've always heard though that when your first baby is an angel, the second one makes up for it. lol. Hang in there! Thanks for your blog! You have listed several giveaways for me and I enter contests that you feature all the time. 🙂

bless your heart… I feel ya! My oldest was like that. When I returned to work, everytime the phone rang I just knew it was the new sitter telling me to come and get my screaming meammie!! This too shall pass, my dear. Grab the time for you when you can. The laundry will wait 🙂
