I want to thank all of my readers for their wonderful support. When I started this blog in March I have to say I didn’t have any idea of what I would have to put into it to make it grow. After spending time in ICU in the hospital I realized that I was losing a lot of time with my family and doing the other things that I love.
I knew that I didn’t want to give up my blog but I also knew that if I didn’t post almost everyday of the week, post giveaways on linkys, join blog hops, etc… that it would falter. I don’t want this at all because this is my baby and I don’t like putting energy into something that I think might fail. So I have thought long and hard about what I can do and decided a partner is the only way.
After deciding I needed a partner it became a matter of who I would like to bring on board. I wasn’t sure if I should look into the blogging world or my own ring of friends. I know bringing on a partner could cause some problems about who gets what review items. who maintains what part of the blog and many other behind the scenes problems. It became clear to me that I didn’t want just anybody helping out and that meant I couldn’t go into the blogging world.
The next decision was a tough one for me. I didn’t know who I could ask to come on board. After all, everybody I know has their own children, mom’s groups, community help groups, jobs and just in general they have their own lives. Who would want to devote their time to my baby… And I knew who it had to be.
I have come to rely on my best friend for so many things through the years. After all, we have been friends for 25 years..a whole quarter of a century (I can’t believe it sometimes). It took some convincing to myself to ask her but finally I just laid it out like best friends do about boys, parents, and everything in general. Much to my surprise she said yes!!
So ladies and gentlemen in the next few days I will be introducing you to my best friend and bringing her on board. I know she will be an amazing asset to this blog and I can’t wait for the next part of this journey!
Now I am off to sew, spend time with my children and husband, try out some new recipes and finally read a book that has been sitting on my table forever. I won’t be going any where just splitting the duties. Have a super week!
