2 Ingredient Mountain Dew Cake

Can you tell where Coulter's sprinkles went?

Are ready for the simplest cake you have ever made in your life?  I mean seriously Coulter made this mountain dew cake all by himself minus the oven.  Be prepared for a ready made cake in the oven in five minutes and then you can put your feet up and relax.  Perhaps this would be a great time to start reading a great Amish fiction book Faithful To Laura or Historical fiction Sweeter Than Birdsong.  Now that you have made the dessert and have started a book what is for dinner?  Check out our recipe archive to find the perfect entree, appetizer or pasta dish.

Mountain Dew Cake Ingredients

1 vanilla or white cake mix
1 12 oz can of Mountain Dew

Mountain Dew Cake Directions

1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees and prepare pan as needed.
2. Make sure to throw a little bit of the cake mix on your face so it looks like you worked hard.
3. Combine cake mix and can of Mountain Dew.
4. Pop in the oven and bake 18 – 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

I had half a container of icing left in the fridge so I warmed it up and spread it on like glaze because Coulter wanted something for his sprinkles to stick to. I prefer Cool Whip as the icing because while it doesn’t seem like the batter tastes that sweet baking it brings out the sweetness.

This sounds a lot simpler than the Mountain Dew Cupcakes I made a few weeks ago. http://abusymomoftwointhekitchen.blogspot.com/2012/01/mountain-dew-cupcakes.html

I think I might have to try your recipe.
