Scooter is a unique little bird from a lost colony of penguins known for their amazing speed and strength. Abandoned before he was even hatched, Scooter is taken in by a family of silver penguins who encourage his talents. Still, Scooter feels like he doesn’t belong. It is not until he learns lessons of love and self-worth that he returns to his village and saves the day.
The boys and I were headed out of town this last weekend and it was going to be a long drive. This was the perfect time to pop in The Adventures Of Scooter The Penguin and see how my boys reacted. With lots of laughs and giggles from the back seat I knew I had found a hit. As I listened in to the story line from the front seat I was impressed. While I couldn’t see that Scooter was blue it was clearly obvious from the dialogue happening. Scooter is lost from his family and gets adopted by a black penguin family.
While adjusting to his new life he is receiving pressure to win a tournament and being bullied by the penguin who thinks he should win. Throughout this wonderful story you see Scooter make bad choices because of the pressure he has felt. And of course no kids story would be complete without a strong message of how to make things right.
Join Scooter on his journey and use Scooter as a powerful teaching tool for your children and grandchildren. I heard lots of laughs from the backseat and can’t wait to cuddle up on the couch and actually watch this movie with my boys.
