Babar Is Turning 80 + Giveaway

The iconic elephant with his instantly recognizable signature green suit and yellow crown turns 80 in the new year. Hard to believe that Babar is turning 80! The star of the classic literary-based brand that has won over generations of children and families with his imaginative adventures is set to win over a new generation, while those who grew up with Babar get to rekindle their own fond memories in a BIG way.  I didn’t grow up watching Babar but my boys have.  The love Babar and they rarely love the same cartoon.  I think Babar and Caillou on the only two they can actually agree on.

My kids love Babar and I love the strong messages it teaches.  I love that Babar lets them make the mistakes first and then they learn from it.  I as a parent and as most parents do I am sure try to stop my kids from making the mistake in the first place.  Lessons stick harder if they actually make them first and Babar shows this.

Print off a fun and colorful birthday crown HERE.  Wouldn’t these be fun for a birthday party in honor of Babar.
