CreativeKrate Makes Crafting & Learning Easy

CreativeKrate LogoJust when I thought Winter was over and Spring was here to stay I was wrong.  I had even promised the boys that I would load up the dump trucks and the tricycle and take them to the park.  While snow doesn’t usually scare us off it does when it is wet snow and I just know the park will be mud instead of dirt and grass.

What is a mom to do when she has made a promise she can’t keep (why do I say promise, you think I would know better)?  I break out the newest package to show up at my door from CreativeKrate, and boy was the package stuffed full!  CreativeKrate is is a learning experience shipped to your door.

CreativeKrate helped make our afternoon full of laughs and learning.  Our Krate contained enough goodies for all three of us to make our own dinosaur that we could watch and learn from.  Also contained in our Krate was a binder to keep track of our monthly Krates and experiences and a parent package to finish the project off with.

Boys With Their Monkies wm

A starter kit contains enough materials to make two eggs and fossils, which works great so that both boys got to make their own egg.  You child can make two or share with a sibling or friend.  I was sent a third so that I could participate along with the boys and with a lot of roaring like dinosaurs we finally got our eggs shaped.

A little hiding of the fossil during nap-time and some drying time before we cracked our eggs opens to reveal what was inside and I was awarded with “That’s Awesome Mom!”.  I love being a hit.

After revealing our fossil we continued our exploration and learning of dinosaurs with the extra packet that was within the kit.  The boys (no Picasso’s in our future) painted their coloring sheets and we wrote up stories to match.  The fun continued to bath time where our eggs “hatched” and then after teeth were brushed we partnered them up with the look a likes in the parent book.

To drag the fun and learning on a little longer after bedtime I turned their paintings into fridge magnets with the included magnets and they were amazed yet again in the morning as mom displays their work proudly.

Our CreativeKrate was a hit with everyone in our family.  The boys and I loved the experience of making our eggs and revealing the fossil inside.  Cory and I love the fact that our kids are learning and in a way we never would have imagined learning about dinosaurs.  This sure beats studying out of a book.  Lastly, Cory and I love the fact that we can track the progress from one months Krate to the next with the included parent book and tracking charts.  The boys and I are eagerly awaiting next months package.

A Little About CreativeKrate

The importance of conversation. That’s what CreativeKrate is all about, after all. Quality time with your children will help immensely later in life. Not only will you have better relationships with your children, but studies have shown that children who spend more quality time with their parents tend to do better in school, as well as a whole bunch of other awesome benefits.

**I received the first month’s Krate from CreativeKrate for review purposes.  This however did not influence my thoughts and the above review is my own.**

That is a new one Julie that would be something for the kids to work on. It would also help work on their motor skills as well as brain power. Thank you for the suggestion!

Bugs would be fun for the kids to learn about. My son just got a bug vacuum for his birthday and he is so excited to start the learning process for that (the things we do as moms!). A baking one would be fun to see to help with the math and science experiments that are truly invovled in baking.

This would be a perfect kit with Spring in the air. Gardening teaches so much about the life cycle of plants and a bunch of great terminology to know. Good luck!
