Easy Slow Cooker Hamburger & Corn Goulash

Last week I had some left over hamburger from the big family pack and I just couldn’t make myself want tacos or cheeseburgers again.  I also didn’t really start thinking about what I was going to do with it until after lunch and knew that I would be running the tractor for a couple of hours in the afternoon, this means that I needed something that didn’t need to be watched.  Welcome faithful Slow Cooker and another experiment (that always makes my husband happy).

Easy Slow Cooker Hamburger & Corn Goulash

My aunt had also made a goulash for dinner the week before while I was up and it was amazing so I thought I could replicate it and threw in some corn because I am trying to force Coulter to like more vegetables, good luck with that right!

Here is my rendition of Aunt Cena’s quick dinner goulash with my slow cooker.  I kicked Cory and I’s Easy Slow Cooker Hamburger & Corn Goulash up a notch by adding more dried green chili powder sprinkled on after dinner was done.  If you like the extra kick of heat than by all means add in a couple more tablespoons of green chili powder.

The Cast Of Easy Slow Cooker Hamburger & Corn Goulash

1 1/2 pounds hamburger
1 can corn
2 14 oz cans of beef broth
1 14.5 oz can of tomato sauce
2 tablespoons of dried onion
1/2 tablespoon of dried green chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried celery
2 cups salad macaroni but elbow would be fine

Directions For Easy Slow Cooker Hamburger & Corn Goulash

1. Combine hamburger, corn, one can of beef broth, tomato sauce, dried onion, dried green chili powder, black pepper, garlic powder and dried celery in slow cooker.

2. Cook above ingredients on high for 4 hours or. I cooked mine on high because I started it after lunch but I am sure that you could cook on low for 6-8 hours because there is plenty of moisture.

3. Add macaroni and second can of beef broth. Cook for 45 – 60 minutes on low or until you noodles are cooked through.

5. Serve warm with buttered bread. We also found that if we leave out one can of beef broth and the pasta noodles it is delicious served over mashed potatoes. Either way Easy Slow Cooker Hamburger & Corn Goulash is simple and delicious.
