Phone Dump Friday – Kite Fly Day

Welcome to Phone Dump Friday.  I will be “dumping” my phone each Friday (or so I hope!) to give you a closer look into my crazy life with my two boys.

Early Childhood Education Kite Fly Day

Last Thursday Coulter had a kite fly at his pre-school, it was supposed to be the previous week but thanks to the wind things got changed.  It was meant to be for Early Childhood Education week and it’s actually a pretty big deal.  All the early childhood programs show up at the college and there is face painting, kite flying, bubbles, Tye-dying, etc.  4 hours of fun to be had and the biggest draw for most of the little ones…they get to have a picnic lunch.  So when the kite fly day got canceled there was a lot of unhappy kiddos.

Coulter’s teachers took it in stride though and added an extra hour to the day last Thursday so that all the kids could still bring their packed lunch and still fly their kites.  His teachers made sure not to miss a beat and included some face painting with the help of us parents and of course bubbles are a must on a windy day.  We were able to finish up just in time.  The wind started blowing like crazy and we headed off to Moab, UT for the weekend (I will share those pictures next week).

Overall, I would say the kite fly day was a success with happy kids and a happy momma because they were ready for a nap after wards.  I must say that makes me happy when I have a 6 hour car ride staring me in the face.  🙂
