3 Reasons Moms Should Spend Time in God’s Word + MEV Thinline Reference Bible Giveaway

I received an MEV Thinline Reference Bible in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I’m the mom of three rambunctious boys with a little girl on the way (due in June). When I’m not taking care of my kids, you can find me working from home. However, during my daily routine of chaos the one thing I should be reaching for is often the last thing I find myself going after.

I feel as though there are many reasons moms should spend time in God’s word, even when we think we have everything figured out.

Relief from Exhaustion

Most moms are tired at some point in the day, unless they are super human and have no physical limits. When I’m feeling tired, reading my bible and digging into God’s word is one way I can get the energy I need to make it through the day.

Remember God’s Promises

How often do we forget of promises we make to our children? I’m sure we equally forget the promises God made to us. HE NEVER FORGETS those promises, which is why reading His word helps remind us of this.

Reason for Everything We Do

Sometimes life can feel monotonous and like there’s no hope in sight. You’ve done 10 loads of laundry today, washed the dishes 3 times, and listened to your toddler cry for the 20th time over juice he wants but keeps throwing on the floor.

I’ve struggled to find a bible that I can relate to and that I understand. I have limited time and not a lot of time to myself. I recently was able to get my hands on the MEV Thinline Reference Bible and my time with God is changing for the better. Remember it’s not about:

  • How long you spend in God’s word
  • If other people know you’re in God’s word
  • If you are exhausted when you’re reading God’s word

All that matters is your heart and what you bring to the table when you’re diving into God’s word.
