The kids are out of school, laughing can be heard coming through my windows, and backyard BBQ’s are being scheduled. It’s no secret that I love to host gatherings and during the summer is the perfect time to host a gathering. Why is this you ask? Because the weather is nice enough everyone can hang out outside where there is plenty of room for games, chatting, children screaming and a spread of food fit for a king.
There are a few dishes which I think are essential to a bbq and it just doesn’t seem right if I can’t find a salad sitting next to some sort of potato dish, dessert and cool beverage. The BBQ season is here so it’s time to bust out your favorite decorative bowls, paper plates, plastic cups and drink dispensers.
Whip up a menu that will keep you out of the kitchen and hanging out with your guests. Salads are a perfect way to achieve this as they can always be made in advance, plenty in advance for most.
