    Linda Stewart says:

I use Excel to prepare my shopping list. First I make out our menu for the week. Then I turn to my Excel Spreadsheet where I have sections broken down into what is on each isle of the store. I first add to my list the things I know we absolutely must have such as salad dresssings, mayo, milk, cheese, bread, that sort of thing. I add each item to the list by putting it on the isle section where the item is found. Then I take out my weekly menu and for each item I add to the list what I need to preparer each menu item, if it is something I don’t already have in stock. Then when I hit the grocery store (which is the one thing I hate more than doing windows!!), I start with isle one and know what I need to get from that isle, so that when I hit the last isle in the store I have everything on my list. For me it helps maintain order, keeps me from impulse buying, and ensures I have everything I need for the week.
