Entering its fifth season, Johnny Test is one of the most watched cartoon shows and now has its very own Johnny Test Nintendo DS game. Imagine being Johnny Test, just for one day (or more). The chaos, excitement, the trouble, with no consequences. Now you can. While trying to attempting to use his video games on one of his sisters out-of-this-world science experiments Johnny Test brings it to reality. Mr. Wacko uses the machine to turn the town of Porkbelly into a medieval city, and Brain Freezer is holding Johnny’s sister long time crush Gil hostage. So now with his loyal pooch Dukey he must undo what he has done, this will involve villains, danger and jet packs!
Johnny is off! Picking up nacho chips for extra points, lightning icons to boost his overall health, and dog bones to call upon his dog Dukey for help. Using his special abilities, a backside burner, jetpack or super soaker to off the enemies. With the use of a handy camera you can pan forward and see whats ahead. A new alter-ego of Johnny comes with each level, which are not confusing and hold the interest of even my 7 year old.
Both my older boys really enjoyed this game for days! My 3 year old who watches Johnny Test with the older boys, loved watching his brothers play. Garrett my 7 year old who becomes easily frustrated and I fully expected him to lose interest in this game quickly. However the levels are simple enough for him but challenging enough as not to bore him. He loved this game. I do think for older kids they would only enjoy this game for only a short time. All in all it was a great game that my kids enjoyed and was glad to get the opportunity to review.
