5 Kitchen Appliances I Can’t Live Without

Like any mom I spend more than my fair share of time in the kitchen.  I know some people dread their time in the kitchen but most days I admit I love it!  I get a chance to create new and fun recipes, cook wonderful meals for my family (and a few not so wonderful experiments) The kitchen often is the hub of our home with homework taking place, visits about our day, phone calls to my parents and more.  The kitchen in our home just tends to be one of our favorite places and it’s not just for the food!

The 5 kitchen appliances below are 5 products that I feel help my home run a little bit more smoothly because most of them don’t take up a lot of extra space, require tons of gadgets to work and are used more than once a week in our house, often daily.

Ninja - BL660 Ninja 3-Speed 1100 Watts Professional Blender

My husband and I both start out days off with a smoothie.  We love the crushing power of the Ninja 3 speed blender and while we have not tried celery yet, we have yet to find something that it won’t blend.

Cuisinart – Electric Skillet

Cuisinart - Electric Skillet

I received several electric skillets when Cory and I got married and at the time I had no idea what I was going to do with one even.  Boy am I glad I kept a hold of one!  When our stove top died last year I learned I couldn’t live without an electric skillet.  During that time I learned to cook anything I would in a skillet and still prefer it for fried taters and hamburgers if I can’t get them on the grill.  It’s also convenient as it can go where I go.  Works like a charm to take to functions to have fresh hot food, without needing space on the stove.

Cuisinart – Electric Skillet – $134.98, Free shipping – Available at Stage Stores

Cuisinart – 10-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Hot Water System 10 CUP

Cuisinart - 10-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Hot Water System 10 CUP

I will admit I’ve been drooling to have  Keruig but my trusty Cuisinart coffee pot has yet to let me down.  Plus it’s nice that when my parents come to town we all don’t have to wait for the coffee to brew individually as we all like our coffee the same.  One of these days I might convert but for now who needs to upgrade?  Plus I love it because I can have hot water ready in seconds!  Let me tell you this is a lifesaver for the boys as they can make their own oatmeal in the mornings.

Cuisinart – 10-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Hot Water System 10 CUP – $109.99, Free shipping – Available at Amazon.com

I know it can be done as our ancestors did it but how can one really live without a hand mixer these days.  They make every job easier without taking up a lot of space.  This is a must have kitchen tool for me for it’s versatility!
