Let me start off that I love being a mother and how I hope that a third is in my future. But I have to be honest that I am not the most patient mother. When I know it’s going to be a rough day I try to look to some of the positives and what I have learned from them. Thought I would pass this list on to you for one of “those” days.
1. Never pass up a puddle – I mean have you ever really seen a child not want to make a splash? Sometimes in life you just have to splash, it’s a great stress reliever!
2. Talk to strangers – While I don’t always encourage this it’s amazing the people you meet when your not afraid to say hi. This is the stepping stone for friendship.
3. Roar loudly and unexpectedly – Trust me somebody is going to look and it makes it hard to not laugh when it comes out of no where.
4. Smile – Smiles are contagious!
5. Find excitement in the small things – How many times have you seen your child be excited over the smallest things. For my boys it’s a tractor out in the field or getting to go to the park.

14 years agoYa know, this list is so perfect. My mom always freaks on me because I get my kids dressed after a rain storm and we go puddle jumping, then come inside, they get a warm bath and some warm tea. She always yells at me….they r going to get sick. What she doesn’t see is the pure joy and happiness while they r splashing and playing puddle hopscotch!! I love this list!

We used to cover ourselves in mud and while my mom thought it was adorable she did make us wash off in the dog water first or the well water (34 degrees). Have a great day!
