Where are you from and tell us a little about yourself?
We are a married couple (Dan & Judy) from Roeland Park, Kansas (suburb of Kansas City).
We live in a small house with our compact cat Taddy.
Why did you start your Etsy shop?
We felt it was a good platform to get our jewels to the public.
Decided to start a business and became interested in costume jewelry for the entertainment field after having met a female impersonator who needed jewelry and there were no local vendors.
How did you come up with your Etsy shop name?
We were brainstorming along the lines of Drag Queens and it just popped out there.
What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
The Lisa earrings. They were the first and were from an original design idea.
Do any of your pieces have a memorable story behind them?
Watching old movies and basing some of the designs on the jewelry worn by the actresses.
How did you decide what medium you wanted to work with?
Our two talents came together, Judy’s jewelry design and Dan’s soldering skills gave us the idea to work with this medium.
If you had to choose one other medium in which to display your “creativity”, what would that be, and why?
Judy works with clay and Dan is a musician.
Why should people buy handmade?
To get something original and well crafted.
Any advice on selling things handmade?
Make something that makes you feel good and get it out there for others to benefit from it.

Do you have plans for expansion?
No plans for expansion at this time, maybe down the road.

Not yet, we just started this shop. We soon hope to have other sites.
