SmartFish ErgoMotion Laser Mouse Review and Giveaway – CLOSED

As a mom, bill payer, technology proficient adult and blogger I spend A LOT of time on the computer.  It’s very important to me to have a good mouse that is comfortable and easy to use.  The ErgoMotion Laser Moues by SmartFish is truly unique design helping make this task easier.  I have yet to see a mouse that is on a swivel base that allows your hand to rest comfortably in it’s natural position.  Most mouses have the indentions for your thumb to res but still force you to hold your wrist at the angle they provide.  This is where SmartFish is ahead of others.  They have made the mouse so that it can tilt in 360 degrees.  If you like your hand position a little farther forward than have it.  Running your mouse on the incline of the recliner arm rest, not a problem.

I do have to say it took a couple of days for me to get used though.  It did take time to realize that it would swivel if you applied pressure in areas that it didn’t use to matter.  This was not a hard adjustment and not sure how I am ever going to go back.  Also, because of the pivoting base the ErgoMotion is slightly raised compared to other mice.  While I have found this is compensated by tilting it to the left slightly for some this could be an issue.

Wireless is a must in my house.  I am a cord fanatic and can’t stand them!  My old wirelsess mouse had a cord that attached to the computer and I could tuck it behind my computer but still drove me insane.  Ready to be impressed?  I was when I realized that the USB that hooked into the computer had a storage spot on the bottom of the mouse.  The USB is smaller than the tip of my pinky to my first knuckle.  I can’t even tell it’s plugged into the computer.  That’s it no wires and no USB hanging out for me to catch on when I take my laptop to the living room.  Also, I love it being so small because Coulter doesn’t know it’s there which he adores plugging them in and out of my computer if he sees them.

ErgoMotion comes with a roller ball is is also a key in my purchasing of a mouse.  I made that mistake once and will never do it again.  The roller ball so convenient and allows for me to scroll from the top of the page to the bottom without clicking on the scroll bar.  I am sure you know how often that is done.

While I have not tested it out the packaging is claiming that it has a 10 month battery life.  Depending on use of course.  Upon opening the instructions were very easy to read and I had not software to install.  Plug the USB in and I was ready to go in seconds.  While my husband laughed at first I can see a new mouse in his near future.
