Roundabout Sleeves Review and Giveaway – CLOSED

I have to admit, when I was first given the opportunity to review Roundabouts,  I was a little….. apprehensive.  You see, Roundabout Sleeves are these super creative, environmentally friendly, cupcake wrappers that help transform basic cupcakes into almost anything.  So you can see why I’d be nervous right?  No?  Maybe I should start by explaining that I’m not much of a baker….. or a cook.  My friends and family delight in telling stories of the time I marinated the dinner pork chops in soy sauce instead of teriyaki sauce and even the dog wouldn’t eat them.  Or the time that my carrot cake literally blew up (who knew you couldn’t cook carrot cake in the microwave?!).  Although I’ve learned from those experiences, I’m never going to be the type of mother that makes yummy, creative treats for holidays and birthday parties; until I discovered Roundabouts that is.

These cupcake wraps were so easy to use that even I couldn’t mess them up.  I am posting some pictures of my Roundabouts cupcake creations with great pride.  Don’t they look cute?!  Each package comes with 12 self adhesive wraps that fit an average-sized cupcake. The wraps I tested were perfect for the Easter Holiday, and Roundabouts come in a huge variety of designs.  More importantly (for me at least), each Roundabouts package comes with simple, fun ideas to make your cupcakes stand out, and you can find even more amazing ideas by going to their website at http://www.roundaboutsleeves.com/.
As a non-baking mother, I am not easily impressed with baking products.  But Roundabout Sleeves have definitely impressed me.  All I had to do was whip up a batch of cupcakes (after confirming with my mother that you could NOT, in fact, bake cupcakes in the microwave), frost them (I bought the canned stuff), cool them in the fridge, and then wrap them in a Roundabout.  The wrapper was easy to use, resistant to the grease that had inexplicably developed on my original cupcake wrapper, and quite easy to wipe off after I left green frosting fingerprints on everything.  In short, they were the perfect way for a culinarily-challenged mom like myself to make a really cute cupcake I could be proud of.
