Ok I know you have seen it or even played the free version if not bought the full version and loved it. Cake Mania! My older kids and I have and loved the game on the PC (actually we just played the free version). Jill the owner makes cakes for various customers based on what they order and one you make it exactly you can hand them out and collect cash, leading to another months of business 🙂 Now this fun game has come to DS in a new story.
Jill has returned from culinary school only to find her beloved grandparents’ bakery closed down. Business has taken a drastic downturn because a new Mega-Mart store opened in the neighborhood. Her town is becoming a ghost town, suffering from an economic downturn. Help Jill upgrade her kitchen with state-of-the-art baking tools while serving her increasingly difficult customers so she can ultimately earn enough money to re-open her grandparents’ shop and safe her hometown.
Sad huh? OK well buck up you can help! You have to help Jill attract people back to the town with her famous cakes, then burgers, then flowers and sushi! There are a range of interesting characters, which is entertaining as well as shops to mange. This game is a Cake Mania quality, good graphics and fast paced. I was not bored with this game (and am still not), I am striving for my flower shop. My boys didn’t really care for this game, telling me “it’s for girls”, but I really enjoy it more for me right? This game is a time management game, however I find I am getting less done with my newly acquired skills of time management, because I am this close to the next level.
