I recently was asked to conduct a Hugless Douglas book review by David Melling from Little One Books. When it comes to children’s book the illustrations are generally the first thing that I look at in determining if I am going to purchase a book. Hugless Douglas would have been in my cart for sure as the pictures the huge, colorful and would be ideal for a storytime session. To pair with the wonderful illustrations is an adorable storyline.
Douglas wakes up in the spring and is on the search for the perfect hug. He looks for hugs in all the wrong places though, including a boulder, tree, leaves, sheep, owl and a rabbit. Finally at the end of the book he finds the perfect hug. You definitely need to check out Hugless Douglas to find out who the adorable Douglas is seeking.
This is my second time working with Little One Books and I have yet to be disappointed. They have wonderful resources to help guide you in a direction of the perfect book. You can divide books out according to age group which is a help when you are looking for books meant for a five year old, nothing worse than finding a cute title and finding it’s appropriate for a 3 year old. Little One Books gives you the option to pick out gift bundles and if you are in need of a gift registry for a birthday, baby shower or any other special occasion than Little One Books can handle that too. Little One Books offers hundreds of books, music options and videos.
Little One Books offers everything I need for a gift for my own children, special occasions and even myself! After working with Audra a second time I would once again highly recommend Little One Books.
