Cindy is quickly becoming one of my newest favorite authors. She has an easy to read style and of course writes in a genre that I enjoy (I am sure you couldn’t tell by now). As I read the second book in the Ada’s series The Bridge of Peace I was thrilled to have the opportunity to receive the third and final installment in this series. Cindy Woodsmall has done it again with a pleasing Amish novel.
I was drawn in from the start and of course couldn’t put it down as I followed the journey of Sylvia & Aaron. One minute I was laughing and the next I was crying as I followed along on Aaron’s alcoholic recovery journey. Can he prove to his Daed that he has changed? Can he make his parents trust him? He has a long journey and plenty to make up for as I first learned about him in The Bridge Of Peace.
As the previous two books in the Ada’s House series covers hard to talk about topics I wouldn’t have expected this one to be any different. You will encounter adultery, stalkers, and alcoholism all wrapped up into one book. I know in an Amish fiction? Who would have thought. Take the journey with Aaron and Sylvia and I am sure you will quickly fall in love as I have.
Cindy Woodsmall is a veteran homeschool mom who no longer holds that position. As her children progressed in age, her desire to write grew stronger. After working through reservations whether this desire was something she should pursue, she began her writing journey. Her husband was her staunchest supporter as she aimed for what seemed impossible.
Her first novel released in 2006 to much acclaim and became a best seller. Cindy was a 2007 ECPA award finalist, along with Karen Kingsbury, Angela Hunt, and Charles Martin.
