As a mom of three kids, I am always looking for new ways to make each day exciting for my kids. Not only does an exciting day make them happy, it makes me happy because the hours seem to crawl by much faster when my little monsters are happy. One way I’ve discovered to liven up any day is to pitch a tent and pretend that we are camping. The kids love it, my husband loves it, everyone loves it…… except for me of course. I hate pitching tents, it’s a gigantic pain in my rear end and it takes WAY too much time to set up and take down, right? Wrong! The LightSpeed Quick Draw from LightSpeed Tents is an ingenious product that works on a single-hub system for ultra fast set-up and take downs. In English, it is an amazing, open-faced tent that literally takes maybe 30 seconds to set up, and half that time to break down. All you need to do is pull a cord in the middle of the shelter and presto! you have a tent.
Now, because this product is “open-faced” it’s not really a tent to sleep in, but it is the PERFECT tent for providing some shade when you’re outside or just for making a regular boring day exciting. I actually set mine up in the living room for the kids and they flipped out over it! Even the baby got in the action 🙂
There’s just something about camping inside that makes for a really fun day. The shelter is incredibly well made (it can stand up to three crazy kids doing crazy things all day long), plus it really is amazingly easy to set-up and break down. I’ve mostly used it in my living room, but it’s also a great product for outside. There are sandbags attached to both sides of the structure so you can weigh it down, plus it comes fully equipped with stakes and tie-downs so you don’t have to worry about a strong gust of wind blowing it away (and since I live in windy New Mexico you can bet I appreciate that little feature!) Really, I can’t say enough great things about this tent. In fact, I was so excited to tell you about how much I love it, I almost forgot the best part – it’s really affordable too! 14 years agoOh I love the Screen House! It would be lovely to be able to sit outside in the shade AND be protected from insects that seem to be drawn to me more than anyone else in my family.
My mom has a small outdoor patio set and I never spend any time at it as bugs are always swarming me.
BTW This is Ducky the cat's blog but his human caretaker (me) who is the one posting comments when it comes to giveaways. Ducky had no interest in giveaways unless they involved treats or catnip lol
