Meet Etsy Owner d3bz and Extra Giveaway Entries!!

Meet Etsy Owner d3bz

Where are you from and tell us a little about yourself?
-I’m from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I live in a town in the center of the island. I just graduated from college and plan on pursue a master’s degree soon. I’ve always loved to create new things since I was a little girl. Ii started making friendship bracelets. then I began making jewelry as presents and people started also buying from me so I decided to make a little shop. so I kept on trying new things and now I mostly do hair accessories but I love doing anything jewelry, accessories, bags, purses, t-shirts, headwear, etc. whatever I can do.

Why did you start your Etsy shop?

-I started my etsy shop because a friend of mine sent me the link and told me I could sell my stuff online and people from all over the world could see and buy. so I thought of it as a great idea of expanding my little business.

How did you come up with your Etsy shop name?
-Well my nickname is Deb, when i was younger i tried to write my name with different characters that kind of seem different but i made it meant the same so i just changed the E to a 3. so it’s supposed to be d3b’s but as i said i change characters so hence the z and no apostrophe now lol.

What was your first piece you sold?
-on etsy my first piece sold was a purple zipper headband.

Apart from creating beautiful pieces, what else do you do?
-Well I studied civil engineering and am currently studying to get my license. I’m also planning on pursuing my master’s degree so let’s see how that turns out. So I’m still basically a student.

Any other sites you can be found on?

Any advice on selling things handmade?
-I’d say be unique and true to yourself. Try to make new and interesting things. not things that can be seen all over. Often try new things and new ways to make old things.

Why should people buy homemade?
-Because every item that’s made handmade has a piece of the creator’s heart. Every piece is unique no matter how many times it’s made and the hard work behind each piece makes it more valuable.

**Please take a moment to visit d3bz’s shop.  If you comeback here and leave a comment with your favorite item you can have a total of five extra entries to leave on any or a combination of my current giveaways.  You MUST leave the comments for the extra entries on the giveaways you would like to be entered into.  This offer ends on  9/10 at midnight.
