Oh summer is here and in full swing. The flowers are in bloom and the grass is gorgeous with my privacy fence blocking the view from anything, which is mighty important because the neighbors are over 1/2 a mile away and could still see the shine from my white legs. I don’t see how people can find the time to get to a tanning booth (probably because my closest one is 30 miles) and I don’t naturally tan.
I have tried more tanning creams and sprays than I care to think about and I can’t stand them! They are messy! I don’t want to “tan” in my shower which is what I have to do with the spray types and I don’t want the underside of my hands to be extra tan because of constantly putting on the cream. What is my solution to this problem? In the past I just went white and wore pants, seriously I own two pairs of shorts and they are both jammies.
I know the intention of Dr. Dennis Gross’s Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pads is to be used on your face and hard to reach areas that you don’t normally want the sprays and creams to be but I figured why not and went after my legs. My arms manage to tan so I would like my legs to kind of match. When I received the Alpha Beta Glow Pads in the mail I was concerned about how my idea was actually going to work. The pads are small…like 4×4 or less. I thought oh man this isn’t going to work but I am always willing to try. I am glad that I did!
I was able to use one pad per a leg and that was mostly because I was being cautious and wanted to make sure I had full coverage. I did the application right before bed and was shocked in the morning (supposed to show in 4-6 hrs) to see how natural my legs actually looked. I kind of wished I had a BBQ to go to in order to show them off, even while my brother’s kids were here his girls said I looked freakishly white, wait till they see me now! I didn’t notice any streaking because of the circular motion which can often be found as troublesome with other types.
I enjoyed the color I received after only one application, but that might be because I am not used to having any color and didn’t want to over shock anybody. I would guess that for most two applications would be necessary as I wasn’t as tan as most I see, but that is a difference of opinion.
I loved the Alpha Beta Glow Pads as I don’t foresee me spending time to get tan at any point in the future and I would like to show off my legs once in awhile (even just to my husband). While most will be using these for their face or hard to reach areas but as I see it it’s great for multiple areas!
