THE BEDTIME BOOK FOR DOGS is a charming story about a dog who decides that he’d rather walk to the park by himself than wait for his human companion- and discovers that all of his usual activities aren’t as much fun without a good friend along. This engaging book, with adorable illustrations by Paul Hath, makes a perfect gift for dog lovers of all ages, with words dogs understand and a story kids will want to read again and again.
Dogs are definitely the pet of choice in our household. Cory is wavering a little as our current dog Bo is not the smartest one known to man, but loveable. When I saw The Bedtime Book For Dogs I knew that I had to have it. Not only did the illustrations look adorable and like they would capture the attention of my children, but the child’s story line was going to be a perfect fit. I was not let down on either account.
The Bedtime Book for Dogs has a powerful story about friendship and love. The bond that takes place between a pet and their human companions. “Good dog” wants to go for a walk and knows that his human companion is busy so he takes off by himself. Once he reaches the park he tries to fetch a stick, but nobody is there to play with him, he also rolls in the grass, spots a squirrel and realizes that nobody is there to tell. He quickly realizes that the fun he generally has is because he has a friend with him and he quickly races home to his companion. Children will love to follow along with the bright illustrations and a story line that is perfect for anybody with a furry friend.
