Have you tried the new Betty Crocker Shake-n-Pour Baking mixes on the shelves at your local grocery? I have…but I was leery of trying them. I was scared that they would taste fake at best.
Today, I had a kid’s party to host and I decided, what better time to whip out these brownies.
In about 1 minute, I was pouring the brownie batter into the pan! I put them in to the convection oven (I love the 8×8 pan size of these bottles, because I can use my Toaster Oven/Convection Oven).
In 26 minutes, I had fresh baked brownies. I sliced these up and plated them. They weren’t as dense as the brownies that I normally make. These are more “cake-like” brownies. They are soft and smushy. I passed around the first round of brownies and they were gone in no time. I got requests from everyone for seconds. Good Sign!
In my personal opinion, if I have the time and the ingredients, I will make the box mix brownies. However, I will also keep these on the shelf for quick desserts. Also, this mix ONLY requires water. So, you can make it even if you don’t have the eggs and oil that most mixes require.
The Shake-N-Pour includes the following varieties:
- Brownie Mix
- Chocolate Cupcake Mix
- Confetti Cupcake Mix
One thing I haven’t had a chance to make yet, that I look forward to. The new muffin mixes in the flavors of your favorite cereals.
Available in the following flavors:
- Reeses’ Puffs
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- Cocoa Puffs
Try grabbing some of these when you are shopping and keeping them handy for treats.
I received sample products for review. I was under no obligation to post a review. All opinions are my own.
