Bumbo Seat Cover Review & Giveaway (Birthday Bash) – CLOSED

Oh the dreams of becoming a parent and you have been told it’s a girl!  That means of course that you should go crazy in buying pink.  Pink blankets, pink sheets, pink dresses and something that may not be a necessity but I know that I found it more than helpful, a Bumbo.
Here comes the day and surprise!  It’s a boy!  While modern science is wonderful it can be wrong.  Sadly, at this point if you were like me you had already thrown all your receipts and un-packaged everything to make things “just right” for bringing home baby day.
Now some of the pink “mishaps” can be easily fixed and thanks to Bumbo’s newest addition the Bumbo color can be as well.  This would work wonders as well either to change up the color once in awhile or for those lovely “hand me downs” as my Bumbo was.  Actually to speak to Bumbo’s wear our current one has been through eleven kids I believe.  Now eleven kids also means the marks of eleven kids and their siblings, which equals not pretty!
I received the Bird’s Bumbo seat cover for review and really have to say it is a brilliant idea.  The dark purple color was something I was concerned about with being able to wash with my other clothes.  I took it safe the first round and only washed it with jeans, I felt it came out clean and wasn’t all balled up which is something I can’t stand.  Now I wouldn’t wash this with my towels (which I am notorious for doing) but I don’t see much else in our house I couldn’t be washed with it.
Taking the Bumbo cover off and on was a breeze with an elastic bottom that hugged to the Bumbo and left it with a tight fit that I could feel comfortable knowing my children aren’t going to be able to pull it off easily, but it wouldn’t be a hard transition for me either to take off for washing purposes.  One other perk of the cover?  It has side pockets which is the perfect place to keep a couple of toys.
I don’t have the tray that can be purchased with the Bumbo so I can’t attest to how the cover would work with that, but from what I have seen it may not be made to accomadate the tray.  Correct me if I am wrong but the tray sits in the little dents on the side to be held on and I would guess that with the little the material moves it could affect how well the tray stayed on, however, this is something that I would love to know about for sure.
I feel that Bumbo has made a quality seat and I like seeing that they are making accessories to help the seat accommodate different children and personalities.  The Bumbo seat cover is available in six different color choices with more to come I hope.
