Yummie Tummie sounds like something that I would eat..who said that saying Yummie in my Tummie? Well that is besides the point… I was given the chance to review Yummie Tummie’s shape-wear and am I in love. I have worn shape-wear before, but it has to be covered by another piece. Yummie Tummie can be worn as a foundation piece or a layering piece. This is wonderful because I am constantly hot and having to add another piece to the mix can sometimes just become too much.
Yummie Tummie has a smooth feel to it and my husband was surprised to find out that it was not just a tank top. He was also able to notice a difference right away. The difference comes from the middle panel of the tank which is made from microfiber. The microfiber panel helps to hold it all together, while at the same time being extremely comfortable. I had not problem wearing this tank top all day and never had it once roll, scratch or feel tight. Yummie Tummie only offered the support where I needed it, in my tummy. Some shape-wears have a constricting feel all over your body and I have to say it can make me short of breath sometimes. One more reason why I love Yummie Tummie and their design.
What about all the nursing momma’s out there? As I was recently in this postion I have to take heart for all of you. It’s tough to find clothes that allow this task to be easy and modest, let alone shapewear. Yummie Tummie has been thinking of you with their nursing T tank. With the mid-section still made of the double layer microfiber, but with a snap down bust panel. One other tank that I wanted to highlight is the survivor tank. The survivor tank is made specifically for those who have suffered and overcame breast cancer. The tank is made with a secure fit and a built in bra with cup pockets for cup insertion.
As a plus size and well endowed gal I hate when tanks have a built in shelf bra. Let’s face it those are not made for women like me and often can ruin a shirt for me. With the original tank I don’t have to worry about this and am thrilled that I don’t have to “cut” this piece out. One thing I would like to see is that their website had a way to search by size. While they do offer a few plus size options there are a lot of items that are not offered and I had to search through everything one by one to find what items are offered in my size.
One last perk? The tags are not connected to the actual fabric. There is a tiny piece of plastic type material sewed into the tank and the tags are attached to that. I know that it should be common sense not to pull the tags because that tears the shirt, but I am impatient and often do this. The way the tags were attached on the Yummie Tummie I didn’t have to worry about tracking down scissors. Loved it!
