Originally launched by a passionate and concerned mother, EcoMom.com has become a team of moms, dads, aunts, uncles, e-commerce veterans, business and finance professionals committed to making healthy decisions for our children and planet as easy, practical and affordable as possible.

By partnering with charities like Healthy Child Healthy World and EcoMom Alliance, and joining forces with EcoMom Experts (professionals in pertinent fields such as health, nutrition, fitness and mindful living), we provide vetted products, up to the minute information, and non-stop inspiration.

My Take On EcoMom’s Products

In an ever growing world where becoming eco-friendly is becoming the way of life instead of a trend. People are seeking out company’s that will meet their need. While being eco-friendly is how people want to live it’s still hard to do in our busy lives. Companies such as EcoMom are making this easier. They are providing us with easy tools to be eco-friendly yet taking the work out of making it ourselves. Offering items such as baby food, toys, clothes, high chairs and natural remedies, they have a need to fit anybody’s life style. I recently was given the opportunity to partner with EcoMom and was provided with their Revolutions Foods Sampler to try. This sampler contained 4 mashups and 3 Jammy Sammy’s.

I wouldn’t feed my children anything that I wouldn’t try myself so here goes! The Jammy Sammy’s were pretty good. The peanut butter and jelly tasted great, however, I prefer white bread with my sandwich, so the wheat flavor is something I would have to get used too. My little man loved them though which I was surprised. He doesn’t care for peanut butter and can sniff it out a mile away. The peanut butter layer though was real thin on his Jammy Sammy so he took to it really fast. I was glad because peanut butter is a great source of protein and I love having found a way to feed it to him and not feeling like I have to serve him meat constantly. Overall, this product passed in my book!

On to the Organic Mashups. I was intrigued by the packaging. They are packaged kind of like a Capri Sun is what I thought of. I am extremely anal about kids eating in my car…it doesn’t happen! With living 30 miles from a grocery store and over 300 miles from my parents sometimes my son gets hungry and I really would like to give him a snack in the car rather than have to stop always. The Organic Mashups packaging may have just solved my problem. It was so convenient to pop off the lid (twisting no tearing!). I was ready to test out taste factor so that I could move on to the mess factor. I had a bit of a problem with the texture of this. I don’t care for many things that pureed just because I can’t handle the texture and this wasn’t much different. I liked the flavor but would have a hard time getting over the texture. Good think they are not for me huh! My son loved them and wanted to eat all four of them at once. I caught him several times pushing the chair over to the counter to steal the others. And wouldn’t you know it, not one drop to clean up! These would pass my inspection to be fed as a snack in the car. Definitely something we will be investing in for road trips (which we take monthly) and days at the park.
