Grayson Hawkes learns how imaginative and elaborate Walt Disney World is when he accepts an invitation that lands him in a world he never knew existed. Suddenly unraveling a perplexing puzzle and trying to solve a mysterious disappearance, Hawkes navigates through the kingdom where knowledge of seemingly unimportant Disney facts, and some divine help, are the only way he can discover the answers and get out.
Soon the lines between right and wrong begin to blur, and telling the difference between real and unreal becomes nearly impossible. Loyalty to faith, family and friends are stretched to the extreme in a pulse quickening adventure through a magical place where dreams really do come true.
Jeff Dixon is a storyteller. Each week he researches ancient manuscripts and examines them for content, meaning and understanding and describes his findings, using illustrations, to a crowd of listeners at Covenant Community Church in Central Florida. Some people might call this preaching (but that can sound boring!)
Jeff brings and intensity and passion to communicating that incorporates his early years in Orlando, working at Disney World: his educational trek that landed him at Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas; and the latitudinal and longitudinal journey ministering in churches trying to impact the world. Jeff loves living in the heart of the Florida with his family, friends, and hist annual pass to Walt Disney World.
I can’t be the only person who really hasn’t had a desire to visit Disney World. I mean honesty *hold your breath* I still don’t know which is which. However, The Key To The Kingdom (Deep River Books) may have changed my mind. It gave a different aspect and mysteriousness to Disney World that I was never aware of. Maybe all the instances mentioned in this book are common knowledge to the general public and I was shielded but I tend to think some of the references are not as widely known.
Now you may be asking yourself why did she read this book if Disney World isn’t her thing? Because I do love a good mystery. The Key To The Kingdom did not disappoint. As you follow “Hawk” through the novel as he eludes those who are chasing him, meets a mysterious women and follows clues to solve the puzzle about getting the key to fit you are drawn into learning about Walt Disney World and it’s maker.
What do I love about this book besides it being a different (but good) mystery from my usual reading material? It is appropriate for all ages. NO PROFANITY. It’s rare to find a book that doesn’t have something or reference some inappropriate conduct of the younger generation. I can’t wait to loan The Key To The Kingdom out to many in my circle because of this. I know it is the type of book that any eleven year old would enjoy and one I can feel good knowing they are reading.
With the above being said, The Key To The Kingdom has really sparked my interest in attending Disney World. As you journey through with “Hawk” you get glimpses into the past and a huge part of our history (not the Civil War type of history, but history none the less).

Walt Disney World really is a magical place. It doesn't matter how many times I visit there is always something new to discover. One of the things that always intrigues me on any visit to Walt Disney World is the attention to detail. Sometimes in those details you can discover things that only increase your appreciation and fascination with something.
I suppose it works that way in life as well. It is in the details that we become aware of just how amazing and precious life can be. I am honored that you have taken the time to read The Key To The Kingdom and found it to be an exciting journey.
Thank you also for noticing that you can tell a story without inappropriate conduct or language. I have always believed that a good story is simply that…a good story. There is no need to clutter it up with unnecessary junk. It was my hope to create a story that was full of adventure, mystery, interesting situations set in compelling settings, with a few characters that would connect with the reader. The fact that the story can be shared and discussed with readers of all ages helps to make it even stronger.
I appreciate your thoughts and I hope others will take the adventure, solve the mystery, and have a good time unraveling The Key To The Kingdom.
