Who hasn’t wanted to live in a fantasy land as a kid (or adult)? Become a princess or a character in Cars? How about SpongeBob or Dora? How about bringing your favorite friends or family member? Even better huh? We all have at one time wanted a fantasy life, (personally Rapunzel in a tower by myself sounds great). Kidlandia brings this dream to reality for kids.
I received my choice of product from Kidlandia so when I entered their site I scanned though and decided on the Dora poster (my niece is crazy about Dora). I played with it a little adding some rationalization’s and then saved my project and then off to work. When I arrived a coworker was stressing over what to get a friends kids for their birthday so I showed her Kidlandia.
Well she showed me much more, the simple ‘personalization’ I did was nothing compared to what she discovered. Essentially what you get is you choice in theme (Pooh, Cars, Dora…..) and then you have a map, generally, a land with water around it and the various name of the lands, cliffs, beaches, as well as characters. What my coworker discovered was you can change the names of all of these using family, friend or pet names (‘Jessica Lake’, ‘Zachary Forest’, or ‘Wyatt Mountain’) You can customize the color, size and type of font, move whatever you want, even add additional pictures or characters. This was awesome.
I went back and personalized my map for my niece to include her grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles into a Dora themed piece of art. She loved it! (ok so she loves Dora I had that going for me). I was very impressed when my Dora map arrived, and on the top was clearly called “Addison Land”, the colors were vibrant and clear. I framed it and wrapped it and I was a star at the party!
Kidlandia offers many themes of maps as well as posters, door hangings, canvas scrolls, vinyl wall clings and growth charts. Think Winnie the Pooh, Toy Story, Cars, Princesses. This is a great original gift for any kid with some imagination, and personalizing it makes it all that much easier to believe it.
