Kid’s Checklist For Packing Printables
It’s official. It’s traveling season and that means a lot of bag packing in my house. It’s the first of May and I already have planned 8 traveling trips with the boys before August. That is a lot of packing for the three of us. It has gotten easier as they can both do their own packing these days but it still requires that I stand over their suitcase and tell them how many of each item they need. With these Kid’s Packing List Free Printables I can write how many of each item the boys need to pack and they can pack their own bag. They leave the flap open so that I can confirm they have the correct amounts but I don’t have to hover over them. I can pack my suitcase while they are packing theirs. It’s a great time saver, teaches them independence and frankly packing accordingly is a life long skill.
Enjoy these Kid’s Packing List Free Printables , I suggest laminating them to be used multiple times. We leave the laminated sheets in our Family Command Center and then they are ready to go for the next round. After I have the quantities of items recorded on the sheet I will hang with the chore charts so they know they are ready.

10 years agoThanks!! I will be printing this off for our upcoming vacation. (I noticed there is another one out there that has different colors. Looks like they took yours, changed the colors and took your name off and replaced theirs. Just thought id give you a heads up. )

10 years agoThank you for the adorable and useful packing list! This really motivated my son to help get ready for his week-long trip! We made a list of additional items and will create our ‘add-on’ to use with your summer boys packing list.
Great idea, thank you!

10 years agoI think my kids have packed enough that they usually remember everything they need but this is good for the first few times at least, or even as a checklist just to make sure nothing is forgotten.

10 years agoI’m a terrible control freak when it comes to packing but yes, I think I need to let loose the reigns and allow the kids to take over. This list is super cute and covers it all!

10 years agoI love the list! Lately I’ve been letting them pack their own bags, but geez it makes me nervous. Your checklist sorta makes it fun for them, which is pretty cool.

10 years ago AUTHORIt has been a lifesaver for us! They can pack themselves and I can work on other important aspects for the trip.

10 years agoD’oh! Why didn’t I think of that?! We’ve been letting the kids pack their suitcases for a few years but we’ve always just sat down with them and let them write out everything they could think of (x # of outfits, x # of underclothes, toiletries, etc) all in detailed form by actually writing out each item from those categories. Then they would check them off as they packed them. Never thought of a visual checklist like this!

10 years agoI let them pack themselves, but I always did a final check! It would be too risky not to check it all over.

10 years agoI love the pictures and the words together on this list. This would be super simple to even get the non-readers involvled in their own packing.
Brandy
10 years ago AUTHORIt’s been a huge time saver for us Michele. My youngest can pack his own bag with the pictures and my oldest can read what he needs.

10 years agoThat is super handy. I never let the kids pack themselves when they were younger because I was afraid they’d forget something.
Brandy
10 years ago AUTHORIt took a lot for me to give up the control of packing them but this has been a huge time saver for me. I give their bags a quick once over before we leave to make sure nothing has been forgotten.
