Let’s Revisit Etsy Owner Allison Book

Allison was so generous to provide me with a giveaway for my readers in May of this year and she is at it again.  Here is my review from May with a new giveaway posted at the bottom.  Thanks Allison!

Tired of giving the same old looking cards? Etsy seller Allison has come up with a very unique solution to this problem. Allison makes buttons in her store and she has creatively made cards out of these buttons. I thought it was a wonderful idea and and felt that it gave the card a different feel rather than it’s just another card. I believe in giving a card or a gift for most occasions, not both, so I really liked the idea of the card having something attached to it. Allison offers a variety of buttons that are handmade. She finds her images and text from a variety of sources including sketchbook, old journals, somewhere in her head, strangers, familiars, and even her love of animal facts. All of Allison’s buttons can now be purchased as magnets as well and she is willing to make customized items.

My Take: I received two cards to review for this giveaway and I loved them. They were a unique card which I really liked and I mailed one to my mom and one to a friend who’s birthday I had forgotten. The cards are made of durable card stock and came with their own envelopes that matched the colors on the buttons. They are blank cards which is what I usually buy anyway because I prefer to write a “book” inside of my cards to congratulate them on their special day or just catch up on how they are doing. I was very pleased with the quality of these cards and would be happy to make future purchases of them as I felt they are very reasonably priced at $4.00.

My Mom’s Take – My mom received one in the mail just telling her how much I loved her and to thank her. Guess it was a little early for Mother’s Day but this is not something that is uncommon amongst us. She was happy with the card and wondered where I had gotten something so unique. It clearly didn’t come from a store which in her eyes makes all the more special.

Amanda’s Take – Amanda recieved one saying “Elephants Don’t Forget, But I Do” which for anybody who knows me…well it goes without saying that is me! She thought it was a great saying and matched me perfectly. She was also impressed with the quality of the card and was curious as to where I had gotten it. She is just like me and could probably use 50 of these a year with that exact saying.
