Coulter is potty trained but that doesn’t mean he is hand washing trained. I hear a few chuckles coming from other moms right now who understand what I am talking about. I love when I put a new bottle of soap in the bathroom and the next day he is telling me it’s empty. What do you mean it’s empty?! I am sure we can all imagine the grumbling that is taking place under my breath right now.
A couple months ago I thought I had scored when I happened upon the Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System and quickly snatched up a couple of them to help with the hand wash training sessions. I really thought it would make my life a little bit easier knowing that it would automatically dispense the “correct” amount needed to wash hands with and it would help teach Coulter to gauge how much he needed in public places as well. All this without watching him dribble the soap from his hand as he is using one hand to pump the soap while holding his other under and of course we pumped the soap into our right hand and that’s the same hand that we put the soap back with…before we washed the soap off. I knew the minute I saw this that Lysol was onto something.
How did it work for us? Well for an adult or older child who doesn’t have to move the soap dispenser it would work like a dream! With the help of four AA batteries you are all set to hold your hand under it like in a public restroom and a dab of soap is dispensed. It’s wonders not needing to touch the soap bottle that is always questionable in our house. Coulter on the other hand can’t reach his hands very well to where the soap is stored and if I store it up closer to the sink than it gets knocked over into the sink. Water and batteries don’t mix that well in my mind and because we all know the three year old won’t take it out of the sink before he turns the water on (look mom it doesn’t float like a boat). Since Coulter has to move it to dispense the soap this leaves a trail across the counter as the sensor is sensing movement. Good thing I keep a package of disinfectant wipes in the bathroom at all time for a daily cleanup.
Lysol’s Complete Clean Dual Action wipes now have two sides. One side is for those daily touchups and the other is made for tougher messes (like dried toothpaste which is another story). I use wipes everyday in my bathrooms because (hold the laughs) I have a three year old boy, do I really need to say more? I like the new feature of having a side that is a bit rougher. In the past the cloth has just slid over the top of the mess but didn’t actually grab hold of anything if it was stuck on. That has changed but still keeps Lysol’s standard of killing 99.9% of viruses & bacteria. I still get that great clean feeling from my bathroom and the confidence that germs won’t be spreading to other areas in my house.
Lysol and Whirlpool® have teamed up to bring you the Lysol® No-Touch® Stainless Kitchen Sweepstakes. Check out Lysol’s Facebook page to enter to win a a new dream kitchen. I entered and am crossing my fingers oh pick pick me pick me please!

14 years agoI LOVE the Clorox Anywhere spray. Is that what it’s called? It’s a spray bottle but it’s like Lysol and you can use it anywhere. I have been so distraught lately because I couldn’t find it at any Wal Mart but I found it at Target the other day so I’m happy again. I love that stuff.
