My Thoughts on MyChronicleBooks

I received a copy of Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site by Sherri Duskey Rinker & Tom Lichtenheld to review and my boys couldn’t be happier.  Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site is the perfect book for my kids as we are all about trucks and equipment.  I wanted to take you on a short walk through of my experience with MyChronicleBooks before I talk about the quality of the book I received.

I was given the option of reviewing one of the following items Speedster Personalized Book, Princess Personalized Book, Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site Book with Dedication Page, or Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site Growth Chart. I headed to MyChronicleBooks to find out the process of personalizing my book and it really couldn’t have been easier. I picked out my book selection and was given the option of putting my own wording on the dedication page along with a picture if I wanted. I opted out of the picture but uploading it looked simple. Not only were I able to put my child’s name on the dedication page I was able to personalize it with anything that I wanted (I did go with the generic dedication they pre-filled in). Add your book to your cart and confirm your personalization is correct. So simple and I was ready to go in less than 5 minutes! Simple checkout process and in less than 10 days I had my personalized book at my doorstep.

I am impressed with the quality of this book thoroughly. My husband and I give the boys a personalized book every year for Christmas and some of them have been pretty cheap pages. My book from MyChronicleBooks has quality pages that remind me of pages you would find in a library. You know the ones that are meant to hold up to thousands of readings. With the quality of this cover I don’t have to worry about the binding coming loose in the many times that this book will be read over the years. We have only had it for 2 days and I pretty much have the first 6 pages memorized.

One other thing I like is that Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site actually has 28 pages which in my experience is quite a few for a personalized book. Generally the stop at 16 pages and don’t always have many words on the page. Lots of times they are one sentence pages which means the books isn’t going to grow with the kids very long term. Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site will grow with my boys which means the investment of a personalized book is actually going to give me a return on my investment.
