I am coming around to modern day life and that in my mind means jewelry. I didn’t grow up much with it but have really taken an interest. It’s an easy way to dress up any outfit and as most mom’s know it can really help an exhausted, overworked mom look put together in jeans and a t-shirt (that has been smeared with cracker crumbs). The one problem with most jewelry? Styles tend to change and often, however, pearl jewelry is always in style! That’s why I am realizing the importance of having a few classic pieces that can compliment any outfit whether it is jeans, slacks or an evening gown.
Pure Pearls offers affordable pearls in a variety of mediums including, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and sets. For those of you who are like me and don’t actually know a whole lot about jewelry Pure Pearls has some wonderfull explanations on their site. For instance what is the difference between AA and AAA quality? Honestly, I didn’t even know there was a difference, however, I now know that AA quality pearls aresare slightly off round in shape but will appear round from 3 feet away (I don’t think that many people pay attention to my ears) and that luster is very high, but slightly satiny with some faint blurring of reflected light showing in the surface. AAA quality are nearly perfectly round, with excellent matching; up to 5% surface blemishing, but will drill and set clean (earrings); excellent luster, detailed and facial features and sharp, crisp light sources reflected in the surface of the pearl. Things I never knew but will keep in mind for my next purchase.
I love the idea that they have several options to choose from in size of pearls and in the gold color. I am not a huge fan of yellow gold and actually only own one piece of yellow gold. Sadly, it’s my least worn piece. White gold matches my skin tones and style much better. Likewise my mother in law pretty much wouldn’t be caught dead with white gold. Back to pearl size though. Do you know how to choose a pearl size? Pure Pearls has an excellent picture tutorial (pictured above) on their site which makes choosing a size for your style easy.
Pure Pearls can offer great and affordable prices to the public because they get their pearls directly from the source. They cut out the middle man which in turn cuts the cost. Think wholesale. This makes a win win situation for everyone involved. Pure pearls is known for their exceptional customer service, exceptionally low prices and splendid quality of pearls, this means repeat customers.
Packaging says a lot about a company and when I received my pearl earrings they had been wrapped in bubble wrap and mailed in a bubble wrapped envelope. Once I opened the envelope I was able to see that they had been packaged in a plain box and inside the plain box is a black velvet storage case for while they are not in use. This also makes the perfect gift giving box just like a brick and mortar building would give you but without the high sales pressure. I have the intention of donating these to one of the Woman’s Groups I belong to (sadly) to be used as a fundraiser for Alzheimers as our theme is a “Pearls In The Sand”. I don’t want to anymore as I have seen how beautiful they are but know they will support a great cause, and that just means I need to purchase my own pair huh! Maybe a set this time because their white solitaire pendants are to absolutely gorgeous and would make a perfect pairing with another set of earrings. Possibly in lavender maybe, or black to make a stunning impression.
The 7.0-8.0mm White Freshwater Pearl Earrings I received are absolutely stunning, remarkable really. If you don’t believe or want to know more check out Amanda’s rave review of her own freshwater pearl earrings from Pure Pearls. Very clear and round and will be a timeless piece to a variety of outfits in my closet. I feel very Jackie Kennedy Onassis right now actually, that’s how timeless pearls are!
