Scotch- Brite Bathroom Solutions Review & Giveaway – CLOSED

A well known and well trusted brand in the cleaning department is Scotch-Brite.  I know that I currently have several of their sponges sitting under my sink waiting to take the place of an old one.  They are good quality and have a variety of uses.  For some it’s what they use to wipe their counters, clean bathrooms and showers, craft needs even and I have even been known to take one to my floor (darn crayons!).  The versatility of sponges and the ability to throw them in the washer makes them a huge asset to any house.

Scotch-Brite is taking their products to a new level and expanding their line, now they offer a bathroom line specifically made for that room with the hope of adding ease to making sure it’s sparkling clean and healthy for you family.  With a potty trainer, hand wash learner and toothbrush learner in the house I am pretty fanatic about making sure my bathroom is clean, especially because it’s also the guest bathroom (sorry guests).  While I want it to be clean I am not exactly enthusiastic about it.  Most tools just are not made for.  The product I am most excited for out of the new line is the Non-Scratch Angled scrubber.  I have a really hard time getting behind my faucets because they are so close to the mirrors and actually sliding a tip of the scrubber/sponge/rag to get the small crevice between the faucet and counter.  The new angled scrubber is a huge help because I actually don’t have bunch up part of the scrubber to get it under there or have the aid of a butter knife to made sure it’s getting in that tiny crevice.  Brilliant in my book.

What about for those of you have grout in your showers or counter tops?  The Grout Scrubber features a long scrubbing “non-scratch blade” that quickly powers through residue, is safe for surrounding tile, cleans dirt and grime from the grout line and comes in with a price tag of $2.49 – $2.99.  I know many of us are trying to rid of our houses of the need for papertowels, the second most common use for them in my house is to clean the mirrors.  The new Streak Free Mirror Cloth is going to come in handy for that purpose as it’s reusable, works perfect on glass (think car windows men), mirrors and chrome (cars again?) and best of all it’s machine washable.  One more helper to eliminate papertowels is the Absorbent Counter Cloths that are also washable and work perfect for wiping up hair (lord knows I leave enough of this behind), dirt and makeup from your counter or vanity. 

When I opened the Non-Scratch Shower and Bath Scrubber I thought of April because it includes an extender that you can change out the scrubbers on as needed.  April is a little vertically challenged as she would say.  With the extended reach her 5′ height has just become  closer to 6′.  So no more excuses of why the top of the shower isn’t as clean, but maybe I won’t tell my husband for a bit longer because I do love to make him scrub once in awhile.

Some interesting facts from a survey is that men think bathroom duties are split evenly with 52% saying women do the majority of cleaning while 48% say they do the majority of the cleaning (I want one of those).  But it’s a different story when women weigh in: not only did 95% say they take on the bathroom cleaning most often, but almost 7 in 10 (68%) women have gone back to “re-clean the bathroom after their significant other. **taken from a release I received from Scotch-Brite**

    What ISN'T dreaded in my bathroom? Between a lack of ventilation, the Florida heat & humidity, and the extremely hard water here, it is a full time job just trying to keep the tub/shower/shower doors/potty/sink clean! It wears me out just THINKING about it! LOL!

    Its pretty specific to our space, but there is a 6 inch wide closet in the bathroom that mold and other things seem to love. I hate hate hate cleaning in there because you can't get any leverage on stuff and the back wall is deeper than I can reach! Other than that, the obvious answer is toilets.

    I dread cleaning around the faucet. Ours has a small leak but our apartment manager won't get it fixed – so it gets build up there really fast, and it really grosses me out. Plus, it's relaly close to the wall so it's hard to get in the creases.
