I was recently given the opportunity to try SmartKnitKIDS seamless socks for my son Coulter. We have never had major issues with the seams in our socks but who really enjoys the seams? I know as an adult I just put up with the seam and would love to have seamless socks that truly are seamless for myself. Kids can be so picky about their socks, I remember growing up my best friends brother would have a daily fight with his socks and actually wore all of his socks inside out to avoid the seam. While this solution worked (kind of) it wasn’t ideal.
SmartKnitKIDS is truly a seamless sock as they are made like a cocoon. They are started at the bottom and spun up to the top leaving a truly seamless sock. These socks have no seam or heel to worry about. I have problems getting socks to fit my son because he has thick calves (Thank you Decker side) and this means I generally have to buy a larger sock than he would really need because they are to tight around his calves. This leads to the heel part of the sock sticking out the back of his shoe and leaving him looking dorky. SmartKnitKIDS seamless socks don’t have this problem at all since there isn’t a heel.
I also love how stretchy these socks are. They have plenty of room to stretch to accommodate any foot with in the size range and they are luxuriously thick. Many kids socks that I have purchased make sure to give you the bare bones material. Not to worry about that with SmartKnitKIDS seamless socks.
Coulter doesn’t seem to have a preference about his socks. He will wear them as long as he has shoes on and then they come off. He is disappointed though because we don’t get to look at the lines around his calves when we take these off. It’s been a joke of ours for awhile and he was floored as to where the lines went. While Coulter doesn’t seem to care what kind of socks he wears if you have a child who is sensitive to this matter than you really need these socks. I can’t imagine how many fights this would have saved for Jared growing up and how many times he wouldn’t have missed the bus. I encourage everybody to get a pair of these socks whether you have a sensitive child or not. They look unbelievably comfortable and it feels nice to say that I truly own a nice pair of socks for my child that will get plenty of use and stand the test of time.
