Dream in Color:
What does that mean?
For me, it has always been dreaming of what I could do when given the chance. It also meant to always have a dream to try and attain.
For me, writing has always been a dream of mine. Wanting to become an author, was something that I knew, even when I thought I wanted to be an executive assistant, living in NY City, I knew I still wanted to write a book. I always wrote and have over 200 novels in my “library”.
Ok, it’s not really a library, but it’s my bedroom; where all of my books are stacked according to how good they were. The ones on top earned that position because I couldn’t put it down once I read it. The ones near the bottom, I couldn’t wait to put down. Most of my books have been read more than once, because you always see something that you didn’t see originally. But I digress.
My dream was finally realized in Oct. 2008, when PublishAmerica published my first novel, Let Me Just Say This, which had been in existence since 1984. That was when I graduated high school and first finished writing my novel after a teacher told me I should “put voices to my characters” after reading it as a result of a short story assignment given.
Since Oct. 2008, my dream took my normally quiet existence and turned it into a bevy of activities, from book signings to book release parties to newspaper and radio interviews. In Nov. 2009, I released my second novel, And Again…Let Me Say This and this year, I hope to release my third novel, Once and For All.
I never thought I would be called a “rising star” in the author world and hope that I am holding my own in a sea full of talent. I encourage everyone to go after their dream, because right now I am: “In Living Color” because my dream is now my reality.
