Wasa flatbread review

With the holidays in full swing I am sure that like me many of you are trying to stay on track with your weight and healthy eating habits. I know that there are so many temptations around every corner.  The leading flatbread producer, Wasa,  has just introduced thin and crispy flatbread in three flavors; Original, Sesame, Rosemary.

After receiving these in the mail I made sure to incorporate them into our family meal plan.  After all, with 9 grams of whole grains per a serving, 1 gram of fiber and only 70 calories; it is a sure way to help our family eat healthier.   The first thing I put on our menu was flatbread pizza’s.  I found that with a little bit of pizza sauce and your favorite toppings this was a great alternative to pizza crust that can have a lot of hidden calories.  Or maybe a bit of dessert, I am thinking  dollop of whip cream with some fresh berries.  We found this to be very refreshing and filling.

Wasa flatbreads have so many uses and several recipes can be found here including scrambled eggs, with tricolor peppers and leeks; arugula, avocado, mozzarella and tomatoes; chili with ground beef and crumbled wasa.  Wasa flatbread’s are made with 7 simple ingredients; Whole Wheat flour, Wheat flour, Palm oil, Salt, Barley malt extract, Yeast and Rosemary Extract.  So thin and crispy they are a great combination to be paired with cheese, cold cuts or salads for a light lunch.

Wasa is widely available and is most likely available at your local grocery store. Wasa is typically found in the specialty cracker aisle. It may on occasion be found near the deli section.
