#1. Dry Skin

If you’ve ever used coconut oil before, then you know what amazing things it can do for your skin. You can even use coconut oil as a face mask or as chapstick. It really can nourish all parts of your skin and face.

#2. Bath Time

I love the idea of using coconut oil in the bathtub. You’re supposed to just place a scoop of the oil into the tub and let it melt. As you’re taking a bath, you’ll reap the benefits of the coconut oil.

#3. Shaving Cream

I actually had to try this one for myself. Using coconut oil as shaving cream is pure genius. You won’t even miss your once beloved shaving cream.

#4. Brushing Your Teeth

Did you know coconut oil can help you whiten your teeth? Coconut oil experts say to mix it with baking powder for the ultimate teeth whitening concoction. Take a before and after picture of your teeth, so you can show others what an amazing job coconut oil really does.

#5. Make Popcorn

This might take some getting used to, but making your popcorn with coconut oil instead of vegetable oil is so much healthier. You might have to get past the coconut taste, but it’s so worth it.

#6. Squeaks are Gone

Rubbing coconut oil on squeaky items around your home will help you get your sanity back. I love coconut oil for many reasons, but one main reason is that a little goes a long way. Just put a small dab on your metal hinge and watch the squeaks run away.

#7. Leather is Better

Do you like that little saying? A little bit of coconut oil will have your leather looking brand new in no time. Treating your leather furniture or jacket to a light coat of coconut oil will give it a new life.

#8. Coffee Time

This is something you may have to get used to, but it’s delicious. Add a little bit of coconut oil can go a lot further health-wise than putting sugar in your coffee. Give it a try, what have you got to lose?

#9. Natural Deodorant

When’s the last time you checked out the ingredients on the back of your deodorant? You can use all-natural coconut oil as a natural way to make yourself feel better.

#10. Allergy Symptoms

It’s said that actually swallowing coconut oil can help fight off allergies. Of course, it’s also said that it can help someone mentally as well.

Who knew that something so simple could help in so many ways? Make sure you put these tips to use to get the most out of your coconut oil.

Have been using it for the practice of tooth pulling. No, not pulling out your teeth, but rather swishing it in the mouth for ten minutes to pull toxins out of the teeth, and to also make them whiten. Then you spit it out into a paper towel and throw in the trash. The reason you don’t spit it down the sink, is it is an oil and could clog up your drain over time. Have also been using it on dry spots I normally have on my skin. Ankle bones, elbows are looking better using it as a skin treatment. Have started using it more as a cooking oil as well.

I’ve just started using coconut oil more often and since I love coconut, I think it’s great for making popcorn. Hadn’t thought about using it as a coffee flavoring. Interesting ideas!

I’m OBSESSED with coconut oil — it is truly a magical thing! I use it in my facial cleanser and for oil pulling (swishing in mouth for 15 minutes). So many uses! Oh and I cook with it 90% of the time. = )

So great that you shared this because I randomly received a jar of coconut oil, and honestly I wasn’t sure what to do with it! I will have to try some of these ideas! (The popcorn sounds yum!)

I’m a little behind on the oil trend. Who knew coconut oil was so useful? I’ll have to try some.
