I am so proud of my baby girl. She just turned nine months old last week, and she is already learning how to eat with a spoon….. okay, maybe the word “eat” is too specific. What she is actually learning to do is scoop huge globs of babyfood up with the spoon and smear it all over her head, the high chair, the kitchen floor, and (for some odd reason) the kitchen ceiling, but you get the idea right? Baby Jilly is growing up, which means she needs some big girl tableware. So where can I go to find the right spoons, cups, bowls, and bibs for my big baby girl? Tommee Tippee of course! I recieved a set of Explora Weaning Bowls and an Explora Easi-Mat to review, and I love them! The Easi-Mat (shown to the left) is basically a flat mat that sticks to any surface with a suction cup on top to stick your Tommee Tippee bowls or plates to. I was doubtful of the mat’s ability to stick on anything to tell you the truth, until I tried to open the package and couldn’t get the cardboard wrapping off, the mat was stuck to the cardboard! The Explora Easi-Mat really does stick to just about any surface with no effort, just put it down, press your palms across the top to flatten it, and voila – it’s stuck! The Explora Weaning Bowl works great with the Easi-Mat, and it’s bright and colorful enough to keep any baby’s interest. I was really impressed with how well the mat and bowl worked together. Jilly seemed to view the strange stuck bowl in front of her as a challenge. She’s been working on dislodging her new bowl and mat for over a week now with no luck. Mommy can then swoop in like a magician, unstick the whole thing (the trick is to break the suction with your fingernails or the end of the spoon, but don’t tell my daughter that please) and get everything washed in seconds. Yep, I’m loving Tommee Tippee!
