Bathroom Faucets, Rugs & Paint = A Modern Bathroom

This post brought to you on behalf of a partnership with Danze.

If you’ve ever been to my house, then you know my bathroom is something I’ve wanted to update for quite some time. I’m tired of what my current bathroom looks like, so I’ve been on the lookout for inexpensive, but modern additions. Here are my four tips for making your bathroom modern on a smaller budget.

Bathroom Faucets, Paint & Rugs

3 Tips for Making Your Bathroom Modern

Paint is a Must

I can’t express enough how much paint can do for your bathroom to help make it more modern. A paint job is typically inexpensive and a great way to spruce up any bathroom. If I can give one piece of advice, it’s to choose a color you’ll love for a while because painting a bathroom is not easy.

Bathroom Fixtures

A way to make your bathroom look more modern without spending a ton of money is to update the fixtures. I plan on updating the bathroom faucet, shower head, the cabinet fixtures, and even the lighting fixtures. Just changing out those pieces in our bathroom will give it such a modern feel.  My fixtures are all a golden color and I must admit that I am not a huge fan of gold.  I much prefer silver and know that updating the color of my fixtures will be a huge improvement!

Beautiful Shower Curtain

 Modern Shower Curtain

One of the best ways to make your bathroom look updated and modern is to pick out a beautiful shower curtain. A shower curtain is one of the first things people see when they enter a bathroom and it can bring the whole bathroom décor together.

New Rugs

Modern Bathroom Rug

Rugs are a great way to add in some color to an out of date bathroom.  One of my biggest issues is that it’s covered in a dull pink.  I’m able to add a more modern color that pops rather than the pink with rugs.

I plan on having a lot of fun updating my bathroom and making it more modern. Do you have any tips you would pass along to a first time “bathroom” updater?
