Where are you from and tell us a little about yourself?
I’m from Australia originaly, but I now live in Greece. I consider myself very lucky to belong to two such beautiful countries that are so different to each other. One is a new country, fresh and pioneering and the other is an ancient one seeped in myth and history. Being part of both is literaly having the best of both worlds.

Why did you start your Etsy shop?
As any serial crafter will verify, there’s only so much you can make for yourself, family and friends.
You need a bonafide excuse to continue making what drives you crazy. For me that was my Etsy shop.

How did you come up with your Etsy shop name?
At the same time I was deciding on opening my etsy shop, I accidently came across Perfect Day by Lou Reed on youtube. I love this song.’It’s such a perfect day … I’m glad I spent it with you…Oh such a perfect day..’ It just got stuck in my brain. I kept singing it over and over again. So my two most recurring thoughts at that time were “etsy shop” and “perfect day”. It was natural that they came together and the shop became OnePerfectDay.

What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
I couldn’t choose one item as a favourite. I couldn’t even choose a couple. I love all of them.

Do any of your pieces have a story behind them?

My Ruffle Series (cuffs and collars) were inspired by the series ‘The Tudors’. It was fascinating to watch the opulence and the magnificence of the costumes. Those ruffs and ruffles had me dashing off to my fabric stash and pins. My ruffles ,of course,are toned down to the minimum

What message, if any, do you want to convey with your art/craft?
I just make things that make me happy, hoping that they will make others happy too.

How did you decide what medium you wanted to work with?
I still haven’t decided on one. I love fabric and paints and beads and paper mache and stained glass but for now my sewing machine and fabric has top priority simply becauseI just can’t do without them.

If you had to choose one other medium in which to display your “creativity”, what would that be, and why?
It would have to be clay. I find it fascinating. The possibilities…!`

Why should people buy handmade?
Because buying handmade is buying a little piece of art along with a little piece it’s creator’s soul.

Any advice on selling things handmade?
Make something because you like it, to the best of your ability. Always use the best materials you can.

Do you have plans for expansion?
I’m endlessly fascinated by children’s fashion. I would love to have a OnePerfectDay Kids one day in the not too distant future with accessories and bags for kids. And softies too.
