Do you love condensed milk, then you can stop adding it to your shopping list as it is quite simple to make. Just blend together a cup of boiling water, 2 cups of white sugar, ¼ of a cup of margarine and about 4 cups of non-fat, dry milk powder. For instance, if you love hot sauce with your meal, you can now make your own. All it takes is a cup of carrots, a half cup of onions and 5 gloves of garlic, sautéed, and blended with 6 whole habanero chillies and a half cup of white vinegar.

If you like creamy soups and depend on the supermarket for this comfort food, you can now make your own, with 2 cups of non fat dry milk powder, 2 table spoons of corn starch, a teaspoon each of onion and garlic powder and salt to taste. Are you a fan of tacos but hate buying packaged taco spice mix? Well, the DIY version is easy to make and tastes fantastic! You will need about a tablespoon of chilli powder, ¼ teaspoon each of garlic and onion powder, red chilli flakes and powdered oregano, half a teaspoon of paprika, 1 ½ teaspoon of dried cumin and a teaspoon each of black pepper and salt.
