The first verse of Ring Around the Rosy was pinned to his chest. Anne thinks the perp is a serial killer who will strike again. When Maude’s son, Ron, is brutally attacked and left for dead, Anne knows his work is just beginning. Racing against the clock, Anne soon finds herself in a serial killer’s crosshairs while battling an untimely attraction to homicide detective Don Reynolds. Ring Around the Rosy takes you on an adventure from present to past and back again as Anne and her crime-solving partners shift in to high gear to stop a killer before he strikes again!
My Thoughts On The Book
When I signed up to review Ring Around The Rosy by Jackie Fullerton I was ready for a murder mystery with lots of twists and turns. I was expecting a good read and I have to say I wasn’t left with disappointment. Ring Around The Rosy is not my first Jackie Fullerton novel and it won’t be last. However, I must say that this murder mystery had some twists from page 2 and not your usual twists. As you will see the twists and turns are not that different than those from the second book in the series Revenge Served Cold.
The first twist that I encountered was the fact that you know the killer from the start. The second twist is that Anne has the help of her dead father’s ghost. Novels with that start always have me a little on edge, as I never know where they are really going to go. Jackie took this twist with ease and incorporated Anne’s father’s ghost well (again), the ghost that nobody but Anne can see but everyone can smell his pipe smoke.
Ring Around The Rosy is actually the third in the series (and my second). With any book I really do recommend starting from the start but I want you to know it’s not a must. You won’t be that lost and you can pick up Ring Around The Rosy as a stand alone book. You can pick up Ring Around The Rosy for a day/weekend read or start the whole series off with Piercing The Veil, Revenge Served Cold and Ring Around The Rosy.
