What’s On My Nightstand – The Homeward Trilogy By Lisa Bergen

Much to my husband’s dismay I am never far from a book. Since purchasing an iPad it’s made me even closer to a book any time, any place. Heck now I don’t even need a light to read, which only means he can go to bed sooner and I can spend half the night up reading which has been known to happen…almost weekly. It’s so easy for me to get lost in a book and don’t even get me started on a series. If I read one…I have to read them all. This tends to mean a lot of my spare time is spent with my nose buried in a book and it’s truly a blessing that I can read quickly.

This week on my nightstand you would have found the 3 part Homeward Trilogy by Lisa Bergen.

The Homeward Trilogy

About The Homeward Trilogy By Lisa Bergen

Embark on a Western epic in the Homeward Trilogy.

BREATHE: It’s Colorado, 1883. A publishing heiress is on the brink of life and death. Her beautiful younger sister is called to the forbidden stage. Her brother and troubled guardian is raging inside. A veiled treasure map leads to a hidden silver mine while a threatening villain hovers in the shadows. And a hero is bent on saving his bride.

SING: Moira St. Clair has done exactly what her father forbade her to do: chased her dreams to sing on the stage. But even as her star rises, she becomes more vulnerable to those who wish to use her—or bring her down….

CLAIM: Dominic is seeking a peace that has always eluded him. Only as he mines an old claim deep in the Rocky Mountains and begins a romance with a local schoolteacher does he begin to understand how passionately he is loved—by God, his family, and a good woman. But even as he relinquishes his fury, Nic discovers there is one last battle to fight…

My Thoughts On The Homeward Trilogy By Lisa Bergen

As you must know by now I love historical fiction and the west is one that pulls at my heart strings.  I love hearing about the ladies of the west whether fallen or not.  The struggles they have went through and who can’t pass up a love story (or three as in this series) where the couple has to overcome adversity.  With 3 in this series from award winning author from the “God Gave Us” books I was able to find out she does not just write childrens books.  Lisa has several adult historical fiction books on the market and I am thrilled to have discovered her fast pace novels.

With all three books centrally taking place in an area that I lived in for a time I was able to relate well with locations Lisa was talking about, knowing of historical town locations and how long and treacherous the terrain could have been during the time of this three part Homeward Trilogy.

What is your favorite genre to read? Can we find a book on your nightstand? If so what is it? Last good book you read?

I purchase most of my books through Barnes & Noble because it’s easy to have them delivered wirelessly instantly. I can’t stand to wait on a good book! 🙂
