With a new product hitting the shelves everyday in the body wash and moisturizer aisle it becomes harder and harder to choose “the one”. I know that when I hit that aisle I become so overwhelmed that I keep on shopping. Maybe it’s just me but I never know what scent I want, do I want vitamin E, aloe, shea butter, foaming, organic, and the list goes on. Once I finally decide on a product (if ever) I get it home and am disappointed that it dries out my skin instead of leaving it moisturized. I know that this usually comes from too much fragrance but it’s nice to smell good without a lot of effort (I don’t know how some moms keep up with the beauty regimen!)
Recently I have been lucky enough to partner with Tree Hut. Tree Hut is a company featuring body washes and lotions that feature certified organic shea butter, natural extracts and oils and contain no Parabens or DMDM. What jumps out of me from that last statement? The shea butter. My mother and I have found long ago that moisturizers with shea butter are a must, not sure why but they seem to keep the moisturizing effect longer than any others. It could be that Vitamins A, E and F are abundant and occur naturally in Shea Nuts. Now if your are like me do you really know what those are good for? Tree Hut helps break it down for us Vitamin A helps keep skin clear and supports collagen production to fight age spots. This vitamin is especially beneficial for sun damaged skin. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and aids in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin F supports skin by rejuvenating; turning rough, dry skin to smooth, soft and nourished.
Tree Hut did not disappoint with the moisturizing affect. After showering with the shea moisturizing shower wash in coconut lime (can you think island paradise) I was left refreshed and my skin was actually soft when stepping out of the shower. Having soft skin straight out of the shower doesnt’ happen often in this dry Colorado weather. The wind here has been atrocious as well with 40 MPH days which tends to leave the skin needing a little extra help. Along with the shower wash I received some smaller samples of the body butter and I am in love. For once I am using an “adult” lotion/butter and not sneaking the pink bottle away from my kids. The packages I was sent of the lotion are sample packages and the best part is they are individually sealed which I love for my purse. I can’t count the number of times I have put one of those small tubes in my purse and low and behold it comes open. That is a mess I don’t enjoy 🙁 I wish that I could find these packages for sell instead of just the large bottles.
Tree Hut also offers a Body Scrub that I am interested in trying. Tree Hut is available at many locations including Amazon, City Market (Kroger), and Walmart. I like that this is available at locations I can actually get my hands on. Sometimes these products are only available at locations in the city and I don’t have the ability to get them very often. If you love smells of the tropics than I would advise checking your local stores for any of Tree Hut’s products.
