Halloween always brings about excitement in our house. The boys of course love dressing up as their favorite characters and have had some doozy costumes in the past. This year is no different. Before you head out to go Trick or Treating it doesn’t hurt to go over some safety rules with your children. Enjoy this free Halloween Safety Printable to go over with your children. If your a teacher this makes a fun printable to send home to parents as a reminder. Everyone have a fun & safe Halloween and I would LOVE to hear what your kids are going to be this year. My boys are going with more traditional costumes this year of a fire fighter and Pikachu.

10 years ago“Stay with your group” is so important. There’s never a good age to trick-or-treat alone, even for older teens and adults. It’s always best to go in groups of three or greater. Another tip I would add is for the parents – use online government resources to find out where any registered sex offenders live in your area, and make sure your kids know to avoid those addresses (whether you tell them why should be based on their age and maturity level, at the parents’ discretion, of course).

10 years agoI think wearing the reflective clothing is very smart. We drive our kids everywhere, but they still walk from the car to the houses, so it would be helpful to have the kids wear this.

10 years agoDon’t forget to remind them to use their manners. “Thank you” gets extra candy at my house!

10 years agoHalloween is an exciting time for kids, but it can also be dangerous. I always make sure my kids have reflective tape on their costumes, and we keep those flashlights in good working order.
