No one wants to feel sick, but unfortunately sometimes it just hits us! I’ve gotten to the point where I try to be as prepared as possible when sickness hits. Pfizer & #CollectiveBias have made it easy this time with #HealthySavings at Walgreens. During the month of November you can save up to $10 on your favorite Pfizer products at Walgreen to bring you find relief when you need it the most. Sometimes you just want to find relief from the cough and cold or a worse bug that you caught and that’s why I want to talk about five ways you can be prepared when sickness hits.
5 Ways To Deal When The Cough And Cold Hits Your House
Plenty of Shows on the DVR
If we’re being honest with ourselves, you and I both know that when we’re sick we are not going anywhere. If you have DVR then now is the perfect time to watch all of the shows you’ve been missing out on. If the little ones are sick too, you might get stuck watching Paw Patrol a few hundred times, but that’s okay!
Bucket by the Bed or Couch
No matter what kind of sickness my family is dealing with, I always keep a bucket by the beds. You see, I’m just not willing to take any chances when it comes to anyone puking. There’s nothing worse than cleaning up your family’s puke, so this is something I automatically do each and every time. While you’re at it, you might as well put double sheeting on the bed. If you have a water proof pad this is a great time to use it on the bed as well!
Extra Pillows
I have to admit that I’m a big old baby when I’m sick and I need to have a ton of pillows in my resting area. We have a ton of guest pillows we use and I just prop myself up to try and relax.
Grandparents on Speed Dial
If you’re just too sick to deal with any little ones running around, then it might be wise to have close friends and family on speed dial. As long as the kids aren’t sick, you shouldn’t have any problem finding someone to recruit to help you out. One look at your face and they are sure to help!
Having Proper Medication
There’s nothing worse than NOT having the right medications in your medicine cabinet when it’s your homes turn to be sick. Every couple of months I head over to Walgreens to stock up on all of favorite Pfizer products like Advil, Thermacare, Robitussin, Centrum, Caltrate, Emergen-c, and even Chapstick. By the way, now is a great time to stock up on your favorite Pfizer family products. During the month of November, you can save up to $10 on select Pfizer products with the coupon booklet found in store or online!

12 years agoWe are a bucket by the bed family too. My husband says they just had to “make it” to the bathroom when he was a kid. No thank you! I love shopping at Walgreens. They always have great products for excellent prices.

12 years agoHaha, I carry a bucket/trash can anytime I’m sick, the other half has a gag reflex that leads to unpleasant results, and I have a mountain of tissues to dispose of. Walgreens is great for stocking up last minute, or before the flu hits.

12 years agoMy daughter, husband and I all just got over a bad cold that lingered in our house for over a month. It’s definitely not fun! Being prepared is so important, because the last thing you want to do when you are sick is leave the house. I like to keep meds on hand and ready to go!
